Both the Range Rover Velar and the F-Pace have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available around view monitors.

The Range Rover Velar has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Range Rover Velar’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The F-Pace doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The Range Rover Velar Dynamic SE executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver quicker than the F-Pace (26.2 seconds @ .7 average G’s vs. 26.8 seconds @ .67 average G’s).

For greater off-road capability the Range Rover Velar w/Air Suspension has a 1.3 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the F-Pace SVR (9.9 vs. 8.6 inches), allowing the Range Rover Velar to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The Range Rover Velar is 5.5 inches narrower than the F-Pace, making the Range Rover Velar easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

The design of the Land Rover Range Rover Velar amounts to more than styling. The Range Rover Velar has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .32 Cd. That is significantly lower than the F-Pace (.36) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the Range Rover Velar get better fuel mileage.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Range Rover Velar HSE’s rear seats recline. The F-Pace’s rear seats don’t recline.

Maximum trailer towing in the Jaguar F-Pace is limited to 5291 pounds. The Range Rover Velar offers up to a 5511 lbs. towing capacity.

The Range Rover Velar’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The F-Pace’s power mirror switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

The Range Rover Velar HSE has standard massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the F-Pace.

The Range Rover Velar’s optional Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The F-Pace SVR’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park.
